Among the Stars is a digital rendition of the critically acclaimed board game and was a nominee for the Best Card Game at the 2015 Origins Awards.

Set in a distant future, a once tranquil galaxy has been ravaged by war as various alien races battle for control. A new and devastating threat emerges, forcing all races to set aside their differences and join forces to ensure their survival. As a representative of one of these races, your objective is to help construct space stations throughout the galaxy, facilitate trade between races, forge diplomatic relations, and ultimately vanquish the impending peril. However, your ultimate aim is to make your own space station the most prestigious among them all. In Among the Stars, players draft cards to strategically select locations to build their stations and score victory points based on the placement of these cards. The game spans four years of construction, concluding with the alien race with the highest score emerging as the victor.

BUILD:

Craft your space station by utilizing cards that construct new modules. Choose your cards wisely, as unused cards may be advantageous to your opponent. Carefully consider whether you want to build in a location that benefits your station or simply block your opponents.

POWER:

Maintain power reactors across your space station. Prudent planning and construction of an adequate number of power reactors are essential to support the expansion of your base. These reactors have limited range, so strategic layout planning is crucial for maximizing power usage.

DIPLOMACY:

The game offers five distinct types of locations, striking a balance between them will be key to achieving victory. By meticulously planning and utilizing card abilities, you can create impressive combinations that will give you an edge over your opponents. With over 120 different card locations available, replayability is high, offering substantial strategic depth.

RACE:

Each race possesses a unique skill that can be employed to seize victory from your adversaries. Utilizing these race-specific abilities forces you to adapt your play style, adding another layer of complexity to the decision-making process.

OBJECTIVES:

Objectives serve as an additional means of gaining an advantage over your opponents. You can choose to play it safe and ignore them or take a risk and strive to claim the objective for an additional reward.

CAMPAIGN:

Indulge in a single-player campaign featuring challenging scenarios. Each campaign mission introduces a novel twist to the base game rules, necessitating different strategies for achieving victory.
